This avocado tuna salad is a simple, fresh and balanced meal idea, perfect for a quick lunch or a light summer salad. Rich in protein thanks to White Germon Tuna and packed with healthy fats from avocado, it fits perfectly into a healthy and delicious everyday diet.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of Groix & Nature White Germon Tuna Fillet
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 red onion
  • A handful of crisp green salad leaves (arugula, lamb’s lettuce or mixed baby greens)
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or Groix & Nature Lobster Oil for a more refined seafood flavour
  • Sea salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper
  • A few seeds (sesame, pumpkin or sunflower) as an optional topping

Method

  1. Drain the Groix & Nature White Germon Tuna and gently flake it with a fork to preserve its delicate texture and flavour.
  2. Cut the avocado into cubes and immediately drizzle with lime juice to keep it fresh and prevent discoloration.
  3. Thinly slice the red onion and cut the cucumber into fine rounds to add crunch and freshness to the salad.
  4. Arrange the crisp salad leaves in a large bowl, then add the tuna, avocado, cucumber and red onion.
  5. Dress with olive oil or Groix & Nature Lobster Oil for a more refined seafood note, then season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  6. Gently toss everything together to preserve the textures, then sprinkle with a few seeds for added crunch and a gourmet finish.
